FAR 2025 : the D-Day

The third edition of FAR 2025 opened today. Over 300 participants awaited.

On Sunday March 18, ESA’s FAR 2025 conference opened under a summer’s sun. Over 300 people have registered for this third edition, which this year features over 200 oral and poster presentations.

Four outstanding conferences have been given during this first day:

  • on aerothermodynamics by Dr. Simon Péluchon from CEA
  • on the interactions of oxygen atoms with the surfaces of VLEO satellites by Prof. Timothy Minton from the University of Colorado
  • on the challenges of predicting the transition from laminar to turbulent flow in very high-speed flows by Dr. Matthieu Lugrin and Dr. Denis Sipp from ONERA
  • on sustainable fuels for launch vehicle propulsion by Dr. Helmut Ckiezki from DLR
