Outcome of the successful series of Symposia on Aerothermodynamics for Space Vehicles, the Workshops on Thermal Protection Systems and other international events organised by ESA in the field of (Re)-entry and new Vehicles design and engineering, the first FAR conference took place in 2019 in Monopoli (Italy) (link : FAR 2019 website) .

The 2022 edition will be hosted in Heilbronn (Germany) from June 19th to June 23rd.

ESA organizes the conference with the collaboration of other global space Agencies and institutional partners, including the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft und Raumfahrt (DLR), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), the Centre National d’Études Spatiales (CNES, France) , the Agenzia Spaziale Italiana (ASI), the United Kingdom Space Agency (UKSA), the Instituto Nacional de Técnica Aeroespacia (INTA, Spain), the Norwegian Space Agency (NOSA), the Romanian Space Agency (ROSA).

HyFAR ARA also contributes to the organization of FAR2022.

Several members of HyFAR-ARA participate to the technical program committee (TPC).

The association is one of the event’s sponsors.
