FAR 2025 is over: we already miss you
Learn… Share… Exchange… Enjoy.
This could have been FAR 2025’s moto, but words are difficult to find when it comes to explain why. So we rely for that on Elsa Abéguilé’s talent, who provided us with the beautiful photographies beneath. They make feel, much better than a long text, the benefits that all participants were able to gain from these five days, and the atmosphere of friendship and permanent will to share eachother’s experience and knowledge that was the cornerstone of the conference.
Enjoy the following few testimonies from Arcachon FAR 2025 conference.

With Sunday lectures and the keynotes that sprawled the week, experienced engineers and scientists gave priceless information to young participants (below the keynote on rarefied flows by V. Lago from CNRS)

This was the heart of FAR2025 reactor, namely scientists and engineers sharing the advancement of their studies during regular sessions, or their professional experience during the round tables (below a few snapshots of regular sessions, plus Space Transportation and Design for Demise round tables).

Remarkable moments were also the two special sessions dedicated to the ICARUS project (below the presentation of the project in a keynote during a plenary session).

Through all the week, the Palais des Congrès of Arcachon offered great opportunities for exchanging point of views and networking with peers.

Would the professional time have been so productive without some slots to vent the steam and enjoy being together in such a lovely place as Arcachon ? The ice breaking cocktail in Arcachon Market Place, and the Gala Dinner at the Tir au Vol place, will for sure remain in the memories for a long time. The nomination to Best Student Paper of Beatriz Carda from CEA and CNRS too.

End conclusions
We at HyFAR-ARA are thankful to ESA who granted us the co-organization of FAR 2025 edition : we were very proud and honored to host this wonderful conference. In fact, 4 out of 7 sponsors of FAR2025 were HyFAR-ARA members, HyFAR-ARA itself being the 5th one as platinum sponsor, thus acknowledging our gratefuleness and commitment to make FAR2025 a memorable and successful event.

The (almost) complete HyFAR-ARA team
We have a particular thought to the many people that have been involved since several years in the preparation of the conference, whose work has sometimes been executed in the backstage but was nonetheless critical for making the conference a tremendous success (over 300 participants, more than 200 presentations and posters, nearly 75 hours of non-stop sessions) : ESA and ESA Conference Bureau teams, ArianeGroup, CNRS and CEA personnel (many thanks to Anne Pascale Le Roux fo her assistance to the local organizing team), not forgetting the teams of Palais des Congrès and Capdevielle Traiteur.
Nothing to add, but to say that we already miss you all. We are eagerly looking forward to the next FAR edition.
